We are delighted when we are invited to be part of a couple's new life together, and that's what this property in Shaughnessy represented for us.

This carriage house, on three levels, was designed for a couple starting a new life together. The newlyweds wished to create a home that related to the traditional architecture of the structure, while reflecting their own personalities.

She is of Asian descent, and some of this heritage was captured in our reuse and repurposing of her own family's dining set. As a writer, she also required a home office. He, on the other hand, has more modern tastes. The textures and materials that we used throughout this 4-bedroom, 3-bath home layered the modern with the traditional, the west with the influences of the east. The result is a stylish, contemporary residence that is respectful of the architecture while reflecting the interests and tastes of both personalities in this new couple.

“We wanted to create a new home for our new life together, one that was right for each of us, but wasn't too much about either of us. And Robert Bailey Interiors captured both our tastes perfectly. Our home feels like 'us'.”
